Beautiful 58-acre gardens which have, for over 50 years, provided a garden setting to assess the suitability of plants for growing in the north. Breathtaking streamside, flower and vegetable trial, woodland and arboretum, scented garden, herbs and ornamental grasses....to name but a few. Harlow Carr is the location for the exciting landmark BBC series 'Gardens through Time', to mark the bicentenary of the RHS in 2004. The gardens also run workshops on all aspects of gardening and horticulture, plus events. Open every day of the year except Christmas Day.
