Eureka! The Museum for Children is Britain's leading interactive museum for children, opening up a fascinating world of hands-on exploration. Over 400 interative exhibits invite children age 0-12 to unleash their imaginations and discover more about themselves and the world around them. In four themed galleries for 3-12 year olds children can take a interactive tour of their body and senses to find out what makes them unique, go behind the scenes of modern life to deliver the post, do the shopping and change a wheel and join Gordon the Garden Gnome on a journey across the jungle, arctic and desert as he introduces some through the world's most fascinating environments and shows how to care for them. The new SoundSpace gallery offers them a unique chance to explore and experiment with sound, music and performance through state-of-the-art technology and creative activities. Inside the musical spaceship, see and feel how sound is made, discover the music of different cultures and create your own sounds using giant musical instruments and virtual DJ desks. 'Backstage', you can experiment with light, sound, costumes, special effects and even virtual make-up to bring the performance to life! Eureka! also has plenty to offer younger visitors, with two new galleries especially for under fives - multi-sensory 'SoundGarden' filled with larger than life sights, sounds and smells and 'Desert Discovery', where they can work together to build desert dwellings and discover the desert at night..
