Chosen as 'Visitor Attraction of the Year' at the 2005 Cornwall Tourism Awards, you can be assured of a great day out at Paradise Park. And now the exotic birds and animals in tropical gardens have been joined by a huge indoor play centre for children - making the park a perfect choice for families whatever the weather! Paradise Park is famous for birds, especially parrots, and is also home to two kinds of otter, red pandas, red squirrels and farmyard goats, rabbits, donkeys and alpacas. The colourful birds in large aviaries include parrots and toucans, while flamingos stroll on the lawns. You can get up close at the daily feeding times for penguins, and the summer free-flying displays are not to be missed. Children love the 'World Explorer' wildlife quiz to win a badge. The new JungleBarn indoor play centre has giant drop slides, challenging soft play mazes, a special toddlers area with ball fountain and a café. It also has four jungle-themed rooms, which make it a great place for a memorable children's birthday party. The park is set around a Victorian walled garden, and makes the most of the mild Cornish weather with its exotic plantings. Highlights are the Australian Aviaries, 'Parrot Jungle' and the terraced 'Gazebo Garden'. But the Park is more than just a great day out - in Cornwall and overseas (through it's 'World Parrot Trust') it is actively involved in the conservation of endangered species. Visitors of all ages spend hours at Paradise Park, and many buy the great value 'Return Tickets' coming back regularly to meet their favourite animals and have more fun in the JungleBarn.
