The City of Glasgow is situated on the River Clyde famous in times past for its shipbuilding and is the largest city in Scotland and third in the United Kingdom. The road to the Isles through Strathclyde offers much for the tourist, the magnificence of the scenery from rolling hills, to the south west highlands and the beauty of the Trossachs. The islands of Mull, Isla and Jura continue to attract the visitor, all easily accessible from Argyle and Glasgow.
